Margot James, MP for Stourbridge, is supporting the launch of ‘Chance to be Chancellor 2012’.
Margot has written to the schools in Stourbridge to encourage their students to take up the challenge to learn about, and share their opinions on, Budget 2012.
‘Chance to be Chancellor’ is run by the Citizenship Foundation in partnership with Aviva, and is open to all 14-18 year olds across the UK.
Running until the 20th February, participants can enter into a national competition to win great prizes and visit HM Treasury in London.

Margot said, “This is a brilliant scheme which encourages young people to engage with politics and give their opinions on the sort of economic decisions we have to make on how best to spend the country’s limited resources. I know from recent visits to schools around Stourbridge how many young people are interested in politics and have their own views; and it would be great to see them take part in this initiative.”
